Technic Cosmetics Eyeshadow Palettes Look & Swatches

Hello beauties!

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas?

Following on from my last blog where I reviewed and swatched some of Technic’s lip products, I am going to write about the following 2 palettes:

Mega Nudes 3 palette & Smokey palette

Both palettes have a mixture of matte and shimmery shades. They are both super affordable and you will be able to create lots of eye looks with them.

Here are the swatches of the Smokey Palette:

Smokey Palette Swatches

I was expecting this palette to be more pigmented than it actually was. But if you want more colour pay off and a stronger eye look you can build the eyeshadows up & layer them. If you are looking for a subtle Smokey eye then this palette would be perfect for you.

The eyeshadows are very easy to apply and very easy to blend.

On to the Mega Nudes 3 Palette:

Mega Nudes 3 swatches

Aren’t the swatches from this palette just insane??!

Again, this palette has a mixture of matte and shimmery shadows. Some shimmery shadows are more intense than others too. I cannot believe how pigmented the shimmer shades are in this palette.

The eyeshadows from this palette are very easy to apply and very easy to blend. I did notice a bit of fall down when I applied a shimmer shade, but it was easily wiped away.

Both the palettes are currently available on Technics website: www.lovethymakeup.com

Mega Nudes 3 Palette – £5

Smokey Palette – £2.49

Here is a look I created with the Mega Nudes 3 palette:

Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoy the remainder of 2016, I will be posting a blog of my favourite products over the past year in the New Year!

Technic Cosmetics Lipsticks & Swatches

Hey!

The lovely people at Technic sent me some beautiful products this week.

I had originally planned to do a Winter/Berry Lipstick Look Blog, but I haven’t been feeling well this week and my skin has decided it hates me and I have breakouts all over the place 😩 so, instead I thought I would show you some swatches of the gorgeous lipsticks that Technic sent to me. I will do a separate post on the eyeshadow palettes.

I have been a fan of Technic products for absolutely ages! Their Lashitude mascara has got to be my favourite mascara, ever! So I was excited to try out their lipsticks.

Here are the swatches:

Bare – A lovely pinky nude shade

Bare All – A very light pinky nude

Deep Purple – Very creamy, very deep purple lipstick with a hint of pink.

Dream Lover – Purple/Brown matte lipstick. Smells absolutely delicious.

Deep Red – Red/Pink lipstick, very creamy too.

My favourite of them all has to be Dream Lover. Matte lipsticks are so in fashion at the moment, and I absolutely love this shade. I can’t get over how nice it smells either.

Technic do some brilliant products at amazing prices, and I have quite a few in my collection. If you want to have a browse through their products on their website go to:

www.lovethymakeup.com

I am sorry that this blog wasn’t what I originally had planned. I have been feeling absolutely pants this week, but I didn’t want to not upload a blog (if that makes sense?)

I will post a more details blog about the Technic eyeshadow palettes soon (when I am feeling better)

GWA Smokey Palette Review & Swatches

I recently discovered the GWA brand, and purchased their Natural eyeshadow palette. I blogged about that particular palette a couple of weeks ago & included swatches.

I turned in to some sort of crazy stalker and followed GWA on all of their social media… you know, as you do 🤔 and I saw their Smokey palette 😲😲😲😲

If the standard of the Natural palette is anything to go by, then I knew that the Smokey palette would be just as good. I wasn’t wrong either! It’s blummin’ perfection!

Can we just take a moment to admire the packaging? It’s absolutely stunning!

This palette has a range of 12 shades for you to create lots of different eye looks.

I swatched a few of the shadows here:

It’s hard to describe the glittery/shimmery shadows in the GWA palettes. They don’t feel like typical shimmery shadows, and I mean that in a good way. They feel so soft and they blend out so easily too.

This palette is super affordable too, at only £8.99 through the GWA London website: http://www.girlswithattitude.co.uk/

GWA definitely has a new fan girl over here! I simply cannot get enough of this brand.

November Favourites

I cannot believe that November is over already!

I am so excited for Christmas I cannot put it in to words! My daughter is 2 years old, and knows all about Santa. Christmas is completely different when you have kids of your own, it just makes it so much more exciting.

Anyway, I am waffling.

Here are the products I have been reaching for constantly this month:

Let’s start with my very messy brow palette that my daughter decided to play with. I cannot put in to words how much I love this little palette. It is my go to brow product. I fill my brows in with the darkest shadow and use a clear brow gel on top. Job done! It’s pigmented, it makes my brows look really natural too. I love it!

Check it out HERE

One of my lovely readers on my Facebook page recommended a ring light that clips on to your phone to take better quality pictures. I ordered it, it was around £6-£7 so I didn’t hold out much hope that it would be any good.. But it really is amazing! It makes my photos look so much better. I love it! Also handy for doing my makeup in the dark when I don’t want to put ‘big lights’ on and wake my daughter up.

Tanya Burr Galaxy palette & Peachy Glow cheek palette… I got these, along with some other products in a 3 for 2 offer in Superdrug. I had tried TB lip products before and loved them so wanted to give these a go. I really like them. The shadows are pigmented and blend our really easily. I especially love the bronzer and highlighter in the cheek palette too.

The GWA Natural palette is something that I recently blogged about. I just can’t get enough of this palette! It’s stunning!

GWA Natural palette

I have also been loving the w7 Catwalk concealer. It hides my dark circles and redness really well & lasts a long time too.

The Makeup Revolution Banana powder is AMAZING! It’s a dupe for the Ben Nye Banana powder, and it’s also A LOT cheaper! I ordered mine off of the Makeup Revolution website for just £5! It sets my under eyes perfectly and really compliments the w7 concealer I just mentioned. Sometimes I find that concealers and powders just don’t get on with each other, the powder can make the concealer come off, or make my skin look really dry and flaky. These two together are just perfection!

That’s what I have been loving this month! What about you? What products have you been loving in November?

Katie Price Baked Highlighter Review & Swatches

I have been in the market for a good quality & affordable highlighter for a while now. I love the Technic Cosmetics & Makeup Revoltions’ highlighters, but I wanted to try something new.

I found a baked highlighter in Katie Price’s makeup range and thought I’d give it a go. I ordered the shade ‘warm’ at £6.

The packaging is really pretty and I love the little bow:

However, I was so disappointed with this product when I swatched it. I don’t know if I had high expectations with it being Katie Price’s range, but I thought the highlighter would have been more ‘wowza!!’ Than ‘ugh’…

As you can see from the above swatch on my hand, it looks like there is nothing there really, and that was after 3 swatches on top of each other.

I am not one to slate a whole range of makeup just because I don’t like one product, that would be silly of me. This is the first product I have tried of KP’s range, so I cannot and will not pass judgement on the rest of the products.

What I will say though is that I do think the products are slightly over priced when I was browsing through all of the products. But again, that is just down to my personal preference and my personal budget. What works for me may not work for you, and vice versa.

Back to the highlighter.. I probably wouldn’t use this highlighter again, which is such a shame! Purely because it’s not very pigmented and it will take a lot of building up and layers to get a really good highlight. If you are after a very subtle highlight then give it a go.

There are lots of other highlighters available that won’t cost you as much money but will give you a much better glow.

Have you tried anything from KP’s makeup/beauty range? What were your thoughts?

GWA London Natural Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

I was casually browsing through my Facebook timeline and a picture of this palette stopped me in my tracks. It looked absolutely beautiful!

I had to buy it, and as I was waiting for the page to load I thought, ‘this palette looks really expensive, I probably won’t be able to afford it’. How wrong was I??..

This palette is only £8.99 direct from the Girls With Attitude website. I placed my order and it arrived quicker than I expected.

My first impressions were that the packaging is beautiful, the material of the packaging is lovely.

I struggle to find shimmer shadows that are actually pigmented without having to build them up or wet my brush before applying. The shimmer shadows in this palette are very pigmented. I have swatched a few of the shadows for you:

The shadows are easy to apply and blend out. The shimmery shades are just perfection.

Girls With Attitude is a completely new brand to me. Before I saw this palette on Facebook I had never heard of them before, but I am so glad I discovered this brand. I cannot wait to place another order with them!

September & October Favourites

I completely forgot to upload a ‘September favourites’ blog post, so I am combining the last 2 months in to one blog.

My makeup has been pretty basic over the past couple of months; being a mum to a 2 year old toddler who is on the go from the minute she wakes up til the minute she goes to sleep, doesn’t really leave me a lot of time to ‘put my face on’. If I manage to do my brows and slap on some mascara then we are having a good day!

Anyway, I am rambling. Here are my favourite products I have been using over the last 2 months:

The Technic Lashitude mascara is something that I have mentioned in previous blogs. I love this mascara so much. It separates my Lashes perfectly, applies evenly, doesn’t clump and doesn’t transfer on to my face after a few hours. This mascara is bloody brilliant!

Benefits Ready Set Brow! Brow gel. I have the clear brow gel, I have coloured brow gels in my collection but I actually prefer the way this brow gel makes my eyebrows look. My brow routine has been the same for months, I use a cheap brow palette (mentioned in previous blogs) to fill in my brows, and then I use this brow gel in top. I love this brow gel!

MUA Skin Define Matte Perfect foundation. I love that makeup products’ names are just getting longer and longer 😂. I have got the shade ‘natural beige’, I would say it is darker than I expected it to be, but it matches my skin perfectly when I have fake tanned. It blends out easily, I would say it is a medium coverage, but buildable if you want more coverage. This foundation and my current favourite setting spray are a match made in heaven.

The w7 ‘The Fixer’ Face Spray is a lovely little setting spray. I would say that I was slightly disappointed at how small the bottle is compared to other setting sprays I own, but apart from that it’s great. It sets my makeup perfectly and makes it stay in place ALL DAY (or until the evening when I have put my PJ’s on and want to take all my makeup off). 10/10 for this product!

Makeup Revolution Rose Gold lipstick in the shade ‘Chauffeur’ is my go-to nude lipstick. I cannot describe just how amazing this lipstick is. It’s the perfect shade for me, it’s creamy and applies so easily. I always struggle with dry lips and lip products not lasting (even if I buy a product that says ’12 hour wear’ or whatever, the product seems to move and disappear from my lips as the day goes on. So I never expect a lip product to last a long time on me. But this lipstick really does! Again, 10/10 for this product!

I know a lot of people shy away from unbranded makeup because they don’t know where it is made, what is in the product(s) etc. I saw this 15 colour eyeshadow palette on Amazon for an absolute STEAL of a price and I just had to give it a go. I was mostly intrigued by the red toned shadow in the centre of the palette. I have used this palette so much over the past 2 months, it is crazy! And it looks like I’ve hardly touched it!

This palette is absolutely perfect for Autumn & winter. Here is a look I created with this palette. The wing was done with the black shadow from the palette!

My Makeup Collection

Last week I shared a video on my Facebook page that briefly showed my makeup collection.

I didn’t go in to too much detail about every drawer or each product (because the video would be way too long)

I thought I would write a blog and upload pictures of each drawer of my makeup storage.

This is where I store my makeup, dry shampoo, skincare products, fake tan etc:

Here are my foundations & primers

My concealer/contour/setting powder collection:

Some eyeshadow palettes, cream eyeshadows and individual eye shadows:

Face palettes & spare eyeshadow palettes:

Bronzers, highlighters, blushers etc:

Mascaras, brow products and lashes:

The main eyeshadow palette drawer:

And this is how I store all my brushes, lip products, setting sprays and brush cleaners:

I have to keep the brushes out of reach from my daughter (because she is a professional brush destroyer), so they are high up on a shelf.

As you can tell, most of my collection is high street and super affordable. If there are any slightly more expensive products in my collection it’s because my gem of a husband treated me ☺️

I also must say that yes, some of the products in my collection were sent to me to review. However, 95% of my collection was purchased by me.

This blog was not intended to show off, and I do understand my collection is quite big, but as a beauty blogger I love trying new products and writing about them.

Thanks for reading.

Kylie Cosmetics Review & Swatches

A couple of weeks I was lucky enough to come across genuine Kyshadow palettes on eBay for an amazing price. I ordered 2 palettes (1 of which will be part of my next giveaway 😏😜)

I also found the Birthday Edition Liquid Lipstick Mini Kit.

Let’s start with the eyeshadow palette. Firstly, the packaging is beautiful. I really like it. The shades are lovely and very blendable. There are 6 matte shadows and 3 shimmer shades.

They eyeshadows swatch perfectly. Very pigmented, apart from the gold shimmer shadow which I would recommend wetting your brush before applying to get a better pay off.

Now on to the liquid lipstick mini kit.

They are very pigmented, and they smell amazing. The packaging is lovely too.

Here are my bad points…

Only the box is labelled with the shade names. Not the individual products. To me that’s annoying.

I swatched each one on my arm, but I suppose you only get a true reflection of a lip product when you try it on your lips. Once I applied it my lips dried up almost instantly. The product made my lips feel really really dry. It also felt quite sticky too. It was also really difficult to take off.

I took this picture after 5 minutes of scrubbing my arm 😫😵😲

The eyeshadow palette is a winner, but I definitely won’t be using any of the liquid lipsticks again!

Have you tried any of the Kylie Cosmetics range? What did you think?
